Hello beautiful people! I am Kierra Alexis Carter, and I hail from Florence, South Carolina. I serve as an author, motivational speaker, model, and certified life coach. I am a recent graduate with my Master’s in Counseling from South Carolina State University.
After serving as Miss Claflin University and Miss Florence, I discovered my passion to speak life after pushing my platform, Helping Everyone Avoid Loneliness (H.E.A.L). I truly help myself when I help others. I also believe that serving is the only way to become a leader. When I wrote my book, I was looking for a way to share my story with the world to encourage you all to embrace the good and unfavorable parts of your lives. No matter how shameful it may seem, you can ultimately use your story to bless someone else in a similar situation. Your story does not have the authority to silence you!
Many people may see my glory, but they do not know the story behind it. I believe in being a H.O.T girl…. (humble, open and transparent). I know what you were thinking…not like Meg! I learned a long time ago that God cannot bless who we pretend to be. Since then, I have decided to walk in my truth without fear of being judged because my story has made people want to dedicate their lives to Christ for the first time ever, rededicate their lives to Christ, and share their stories for the first time ever. I am not an avid writer nor reader, but I knew that I had to share my testimonies with the world. I thought I was unqualified and inadequate, but God gave me His ability for my disabilities.
I partnered with an amazing editor and graphic designer to make my book happen. As a motivational speaker, I have honed opportunities to speak at churches, schools, universities, panels, pageants, camps, and conferences. You do not have to begin as a professional, you just have to have a story. Luckily, everyone has one and you just have to be confident while sharing it to make it conducive to your audience. This is also how my life coach certification came into formation. I help people take back control of their lives where they have been lacking (i.e. confidence, purpose, work-life balance, wellness, spirituality, and goals). You only have one life to live. What are you going to do with it? There is no numerical evidence that determines an audience. If you get one “like” or touch “one” person’s heart, you have gotten your point across. Yup! It’s that simple.
This post is to encourage you all to take a step even if you do not see the entire staircase. The work of your hands will be blessed if it is ultimately for the Kingdom. Do not allow fear, doubt, or qualifications to stop you from pouring into others. You are enough. Remember that olives are crushed to make oil and grapes are crushed to make wine: the very thing that was crushed in your life is the very thing that is going to bring you strategy, value, and manifestation in your life. It Had to Happen!
